"My serve works well and I have lots of fight in me in matches. I never give up. I can still improve all parts of my game. My ambition is to win a grand slam and to be No 1."

Words of the first Briton to win the girls US Open. At 17 Heather Watson has achieved a great feat. Beating Russian Yana Buchina 6-4, 6-1 on the 13 0f September to grab the title and setting the stage for more great stuff to come. She works very hard is very determined to improve her game regularly.
She is ranked British no1 for juniors and 21 for seniors. Apart from being very good at her game she has the right attitude as well. To some British hopefuls, the prospect of playing in the junior shadows of Wimbledon champion Laura Robson might soon become a position that promotes jealousy and a sense of inferiority. However, Heather Watson is using it as an impetus to make her own presence felt on the grand slam stage.
Laura Robson.
we are hopeful for this superstar in the making and we hope you've been able to learn that with hard work and the right attitude....the sky is your stepping stone!!!
